Plymouth, United Kingdom
Operation Hernia would like to send a huge Thank You to the pupils and staff at Lipson Vale Primary School for the tremendous effort they put into raising the sum of £1241.25 for our charity.
We have immense admiration for the staff of LVPS who have encouraged their pupils to adopt a remarkable motivation and attitude to help those in our world who are less privileged than themselves.
The photo below shows a school of happy African pupils who reflect the sense of well-being that is obviously also present at Lipson Vale

Ulaan Baatar and the Gobi
A generous donation of $10,000 was recently received from Norbert Panken via his Foundation "Theo & Wiro". This will help to sustain our teaching programme in Mongolia which continued into its second phase this September in Ulaan Baatar and the Gobi, using mosquito net mesh for the hernia repairs.
A major portion however will be put into the development of our new site in Peru where the first mission took place in February 2012. Plans for the next mission are well advanced and supported by the Society of General Surgeons of Peru.
